We are two brothers; Franco Catena and Juan Emilio Catena who, together with our families, decided to express our love, passion and knowledge from the vineyard to the bottle.
Since childhood, we have worked in the vineyards, learning and exploring all aspects of their cultivation.
This project was born in 2012, when we began to realize our dream of creating something perfect and traditional. Our whole family is involved in each step of this long process.
Incorporated in these great wines is the knowledge of generations of winegrowers. They are completed with our technical knowledge and finished with our passion.
Located in Lujan de Cujo, we have concrete vats and stainless steel tanks.
We make sure that all machinery is used in the least invasive manner possible. We do this in order to protect and maintain the qualities of our grapes and out of respect for the influence of the vineyard and the land.
We have two barrel rooms where we jealously guard temperature and humidity. We are constantly searching for optimum conditions for the aging and oxygenation of our wines in the best place possible: “The Barrels”.
Our grapes are grown in Agrelo and Altamira, two of the best areas in the world to grow Malbec. No other region offers the characteristics of soil and climate that so well suit the development of this grape variety.
Every year, we take part in the pruning and cultivation, creating optimum conditions in accordance with the climate of the vintage.
After each harvest, we decide through long tastings the destiny of each terroir.
